Pembroke Lodge and Newton House are part of our complex care pathway and are long-term stay homes that provide specialist medical and nursing care for patients with complex and high dependency needs, including tracheostomy management.
Facilities cater for patients with complex clinical care needs who are in a Persistent Vegetative State (PVS), Minimally Conscious (MC) or with ‘locked in’ syndrome who require ongoing, long-term support. Specialist care also covers respiratory needs including tracheostomy, oxygen therapy and warm or cold humidification.
As a result of complex clinical care needs, placements in Pembroke Lodge and Newton House are long-term. If patients are able to return to their own home or to a location that may be closer to their family, staff can work with external agencies and families to identify necessary equipment, provide training, and ensure that an appropriate care package is in place to ensure a successful move.
Pembroke Lodge is a modern, purpose-built, 14-bedroom ground floor lodge. All bedrooms are fully accessible and there are a variety of communal areas and patio garden.
Newton House is a 14-bedroom house with individual rooms. Eight bedrooms are dedicated to high-dependency care, which are ground floor, fully accessible rooms. The house also offers a stunning private garden and communal lounge and conservatory.
