Due to be commissioned in 2007, the Horizon Day Centre will compliment our existing services by allowing increased opportunities for work simulated placements for Service Users. The day centre will contain a cafe, which will enable Service Users and their families to visit for light refreshments. It will also provide real opportunities for work experience for Service Users. Various therapy rooms including smaller rooms for 1:1 therapy are also contained within the centre and will include a physiotherapy gym and computer room.
In addition to providing day centre services for Service Users within our Homes on the Glenside Manor Site, Headway will operate a drop in centre and outreach service to the South Wiltshire area from the Centre. Headway co-ordinators and volunteers will be avaliable to assist and give advice to Service Users and their families. In conjunction with Headway we will be able to offer Day Centre places to people with an acquired or traumatic brain injury living in the community.
