Limetree is a large, modern building, which provides care for older adults with mental health problems. The home has 36 beds designed to accommodate those diagnosed with dementia, especially Alzheimer’s disease. The dedicated and motivated team of nursing and care staff are specialists in the long-term management of Dementia with an emphasis placed upon the physical, psychological and social needs of people presenting with this often complex and challenging condition. They provide individual, holistic care in a safe, secure and homely environment.
Residents are treated with respect and sensitivity to their individual needs. The Home is run to benefit the residents so there are no set visiting times. Any daily routines are flexible and designed to meet individual needs with involvement from family and friends where possible. Visiting relatives are also encouraged to arrange visits off site. The care provided includes access to visiting GPs 4 days a week, podiatry, hairdressing and the use of specialist advice in the community.
The large lounge, homely dining area and conservatory make pleasant use of this spacious building. A purpose built multi-sensory room enables residents to participate in programmes designed to stimulate their senses and enhance their quality of life. A secure garden area is also accessible from the main living rooms. The furniture in each bedroom meets individual needs or tastes and personal possessions and furniture is welcomed and encouraged. Limetree also benefits from dedicated Activity Organisers.
