The team at Glenside offers a compressive multi-disciplinary team and is more than happy to discuss any enquiries or specific information relating to the service delivery at Glenside.

The team includes:

  • Dr Anba Soopramanien, Medical Director (Consultant in Spinal Injuries and Rehabilitation Medicine)
  • Dr Koko Naing (Consultant in Rehabilitation and Brain Injury)
  • Dr Aisling Coy (Consultant in Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant support also in psychiatry and psychology.

The wider team include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologist and social workers.

Areas of special interest and expertise are as follows:

  • Hydrotherapy
  • Tracheostomy management (including weaning)
  • Respiratory management (use of cough assist to deal with secretion retention, and Non- Invasive Ventilation - NIV)
  • Specialised therapy, assessment and monitoring of awareness
  • Spasticity management (including use of therapy techniques and Botulinum Toxin Injection)
