Wylye Ward

This ward provides round-the-clock intensive level three care for patients with high- dependency and complex medical and nursing needs. These may include those requiring ventilatory support, those in a coma, Persistent Vegetative State, Minimally Conscious or with 'locked-in' syndrome. Full respiratory support and management is provided under the direction of a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine with support from an Intensive Care Specialist. Subject to assessment, ventilator and tracheostomy weaning can be facilitated.
